Whenever I travel to the tropics I always enjoy the many unique flavours on offer!
Tamarind, an unassuming seed pod contains a pulp with many reputed health benefits and a delicious sweet / sour flavour, immediately attracted my attention!
Used in the tropics to encourage digestive health, reduce blood pressure, rich in vitamin C, iron, commonly consumed to treat inflammation and joint pain, boost the immune system and add a delicious flavour to drinks, desserts, soups and other dishes!
Working with a small community in East Bali we’ve harvested, scraped and vacuum packed our own tamarind paste to use in our soon to open Store at PLANT 4 BOWDEN!
